BioWare's newest role-playing gaming title, Dragon Age: Inquisition, will not be released in India due to homosexual content in the game. The game has reportedly been barred for sales in India, taking into account the country's obscenity laws.
EA said that, "In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, EA has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India." It also promised that all the purchases that are affected will be "refunded... regardless of payment method or date of purchase."
It further added, "Dragon Age: Inquisition may still temporarily appear in your Origin Library, but it will be removed before its launch date."
India's Supreme Court had in 2013 restored an 1861 law that criminalises homosexual activity which a lower house said was unconstitutional.
