First I sure hope this is the right place for dis lol never seem to get that right.

How to Edit Saves & there layout for StarPoint Gemini 2
First thing to edit is how much Credits you have as well as skill points, Perk Points and the level of your reputation.
The line numbers are for ones who use notepad++ to gve you some idea of where to look however you make have to look 100+ lines below or above my numbers. The numbers I put are only and idea on where to start. As always if you have trouble finding anything do a word search for it.

PerkPoint: 0 <----------- Here is where you can edit Perk Points
Reputation: 150 <----------- Here you can edit your Rep. -2500 = max bad / 2500 = max good Rep
    EnergyTransfer: 161.00 64.00
    Date: 4.11.2014._5:45
    PlayTime: 202

Next you pick what ship you will be using and the load-out of said ship, the amount of troops it has as well as the Hull Str and lastly the name of the ship ( you can do this in the game so if you don't like the name there's no need to get your panties all twisted). You can find it near line 511. Make sure you only add Batteries where the ships hard points are normally. DO NOT DO NOT change the Position , Orientation or Rotation. Unless you know what your doing or want to end up hanging ten inside some celestial bodies floating about. Battery placement is LEFT / RIGHT / FRONT / BACK , launchers are in the same order L, R, F, B.

Nice, that will help plenty of SPG2 fans

Do not forget to make the modified files "Read-only", otherwise the next update/patch might re-write it all.

I prefer to keep my mod files back-ups in a separate folder to cut the "work" and leave the game open for future updates.

    Great job

There is much more you can do with save editing, like revive heroes you have killed,it's all so great for testing ships after modding them , as well as removing the fog of war erum fog of space what ever you want to call it. And none of this is all that hard to do. It just may look overwhelming with all dem dar numbers and what not. I'm will to wright it out but not if no one need/wants it, so just let me know if anyone needs a hand with out the job part that is

Copy/Paste into a new Steam SPG2 forum discussion where you might have more ears at this time

It looks like you're discovering the art of modding or "pirating game files", but Starpoint Gemini 2 is built for that particular reason, enjoy

Thank-you for your time and effort to find this info and for sharing with the community. This information is very useful and educational!

I do have a question though. How and where can I modify the ship inventory level to increase the amount of inventory I can carry before returning to a Station?

*:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starpoint Gemini 2\Spg2\Models\Ships (*= where you installed the Steam library)

In the "Ships" folder find the ship folder you want to change open the .shp file using Notepad, when opened look for "Cargo" and increase as you want

There's plenty of stuff to play with as: Value, Hull, Crew, Hangar, Cloak....

But be careful, some values cannot exceed a certain amount without crashing the game (memorable experiences...)

    Sorry for the late reply
