Fallout 3 Message Board  

Hi all. For some reason whenever I launch the Fallout 3 Trainer I get a Windows error pop-up that says it has stopped working and "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly".

I've tried running it as Admin and restarting my computer but still nothing.

Pretty weird as I've never had this issue with previous trainers before.

Any advice guys?

Can you both tell me what you are excatly doing step by step as there can be several issues. Also what OS are you using to?

Older trainers are not equipped to handle the new Internet Explorer's protocol

You need to uninstall IE 10/11 and install IE 9, then it works

I have followed all the steps for uninstalling IE10. And tried all the tricks on the Trouble shooting link. I am still getting the windows warning about Fallout 3 and the Fallout NV trainer has stopped working.

Any other advice?

Also, with the announcement of Fallout 4 coming out fall quarter. Maybe you could update these two trainers so peeps dont have to do all this work for these 2 trainers?

I am sure there is a lot like me, wanting to replay these before 4 comes out.

Fallout 3 have its own trainer:"FALLOUT 3 MEGA TRAINER 1.7 (GFWL 3.0)" or "FALLOUT 3 MEGA TRAINER 1.7 (RETAIL+STEAM)".

You're using Fallout New Vegas trainer

Sorry for the confusion, maybe i was not clear enough when I said I tried both the Fallout 3 and Fallout NV Trainers and was getting the same windows error for the trainers have stopped working.

So for exact clarification, I have tried ALL 3 of the below trainers for the various Fallouts:

FALLOUT 3 MEGA TRAINER 1.7 (GFWL 3.0)
FALLOUT 3 MEGA TRAINER 1.7 (RETAIL+STEAM)

And I tried above post about the trouble shootings steps for IE10/11 and IE9. And just in case, I even tried following the various steps on the below link:

And because i am recent Lifetime person, I even tried using the offline key. To see if that would help.

Any other advice please?
