Just thought i would mention that GOG has two versions 1994 and 1998. With the 98 version you can use a xbox controller.
oh for pete's sakes.. theres 2 versions of this game from 1980?

This game REQUIRES a joystick. It will not even launch without. I don't have a joystick, maybe Cal does.
I played the CD version (back in the actual DOS days) with a mouse. *shrug* In any case, you can get a used Logitech Attack 3 (the model I use now, with great results) on Amazon for $20 or so.
As much as I hate to make your life harder, I would like to formally (and respectfully) request that you also make a trainer for the 1994 iteration if feasible. There really is a difference between the two versions, and any given player will strongly prefer one iteration or the other.
Please take as long as you need; I'm quite willing to be patient. And as always, thank you for your hard work!
Some will argue that the 95 version of the games was the best of both worlds, personally I am playing the 98 version (win) of it and prefer it over the old one.
But yea, theres two versions of it on GoG, but you get both when buying one. And personally I think it will be harder to make a decent trainer for the old 94 version of TIE or XW seeing as they are DOS baseed and run through DOSBox and I have no clues as to how that would react if trying to use a trainer under it.
Yes, the DOS CD-ROM versions were definitely the best iterations of the games. Problem is... Disney didn't authorize them for release. At least, I assume it was Disney. GOG says it wasn't their decision which versions to release.
I've put in a ticket to GOG asking if they know what department at Disney we should send letters to, but I haven't heard back yet. For now, I'm playing the 1994 version.
