Regarding the Cheats, Cheat Codes & Hints.

sometimes the diamonds are visible, but I can't get close enough to open the briefcase. example: in the rail yard, there is a diamond briefcase on top of a RR boxcar. I can get to the roof of the building, and can see the briefcase flashing thru a hole in the corrugated roof, but the hole isn't big enough to let me lower myself onto the top of the boxcar below where the briefcase is. there are other examples also, usually where the briefcase is up on an elevated height. anybody have a hint for this? or does far cry 2 deliberately put some inaccessible diamonds in the game to frustrate the player?

Not that I've yet seen. This is one of 4 games i'm playing but haven't been in for 2-3 weeks. Sometimes doing a Save and reloading will fix it. One guy even said he goes across town to Save then returns.

There are a number of cases on top of buildings. Usually there is a way to get on top by climbing on rocks or boxes or other junk. Sometimes I have had to climb up a mountain/hill, get a sprint going and jump onto a roof.

I've yet to find one I can't get to.
