I turned off Avast and got further this time.
At the main menu I pressed F1 and heard the message Trainer Activated but then the game crashed.
I also tried it by turning controller on and pressing right stick and left bumper but it crashed as well.
Sorry I am being dim but I just don't know what I'm doing wrong

You've been with CH for quite a while now, have you tried to run the game and/or the trainer under "Administrator"?
Do you still use your 2004 computer? This could/would be a major issue.
Without more infos it's hard to find the culprit 🤔

@B4Marc - Did you maybe read Wracked's joined date as 2004? That's the joined date for the poster above him - arielvol
You quoted Wracked whose join date is 2014, two days ago. Maybe got the two flipped?
