I assume this is a sort of punishment for characters with things they shouldn't have. I used the trainer to level a NG character to play the DLC with a friend by infinite item soul item duping into his range since my main was NG+++ (100% legit via co-op).
If i sit alone in my world for a little bit I get invaded by "Pursuer [5000hp]" in red text. It's immortal and has glowing red eye flame effects. It's wearing the boss armor and has the weapon. Basically I die.
If I co-op with him it doesn't happen. I'm not sure if it happens in my game if he's playing with me.
I thought they just soft-banned you with a cheater only server? I don't see any special messages when I start the game up.
Is this actually their way of punishing people now? Couldn't find any other posts about it.
I did all of the cheating offline, and then closed the game and trainer and opened the game as normal. I guess I had a few extra items I wasn't supposed to have? (Thought I discarded all of them)

Hello,
Soft-Banning happens (regardless if you are using an offline character) on an account-wide basis depending on whether or not you alter your inventory items, or have a Soul Level and Soul Memory that does -not- match your exploits in-game.
Thus, bringing a character online which you have falsely leveled offline will show, and the team will soft-ban you.
As for the character invading your game and hunting you, it sounds to me like a hacker using a P2P mod to target specifically you. It could be something new since the last patch, I don't know.
If you're soft-banned, you cannot invite or be invited to other realms, or be invaded by non-cheaters. If you have invited your friend, it's likely he was soft-banned too.
