Regarding the Grandeu Editor (ALL GAME VERSIONS), Ability to modify most item and her....

Hello everyone, I just want to first say I'm not normally this dumb when it comes to trainers, but I couldn't find a recent and definite answer to a few questions I have, so I could use some help.


Alright, first off: if I use this editor to edit my character stats then send that character to a ranked mode, will I get banned? I've heard there's VAC but I am unsure of how well the algorithms work in this game.

Second, and this is just in case the question I just asked has the answer I expect: if I use the editor, then go into the other for fun mode with friends, will I get banned there?

And to each of them, as another safety question: are there things I'd get banned for in either mode if I can generally use the editor safely?

Yes, you can be VAC banned regardless of modes, in fact if you receive an edited item from someone else Steam will VAC ban. If you and your friend make accounts using the Trendy servers (change this in the config option before the game launches) then I would say it would be less likely. I would advise above all else just keep it reasonable, friend of mine was playing a LAN game with others but was being obscene in his editing. His damage was exceeding the game's memory limits for damage and it was displaying negative numbers, he and everyone that was in that game was VAC banned. Now, it is more likely that the reason for his ban was him doing something similar in a public game but that doesn't explain why the others were banned. A safer option if you are super worried is just going to the steam workshop and downloading some maps that people have made that drop crazy good gear. These maps are only available in non-ranked modes so the gear you get can't carry over to a ranked game (it keeps ranked chars inventory and banks separate. Hope this helps, happy cheating!
