Ok...this game is a disaster when it comes to optimizations for PC.
It's a failed console port, but probably one of the worst ever.
It fails to work at over 20 FPs even with 2 or the latest and greatest video cards. No matter what settings and what resolution one sets, it still moves like a zombie when it comes to FPs. It's like it works on software mode.
If anyone got any ideas on how to actually get it to warp a little, shoot.
Also, the game has a problem using ...use key. You sometimes have to press multiple times for it to actually get an item.
So how is it working for you ?

Did you looked at the steam discussion page? seems you can make a user.ini with some bypass fps setting, also they mention the game runs sluggish with 32 bits windows, and runs only well on a 64 bits windows, not sure if that helps, i don't own the game, but i liked to mention it anywayz

I did not check that discussion. We tested the game on several high end systems and it appears that there is nothing to be done within the game menu, so the next logical step it is indeed to alter some configuration files to see if that makes any difference.
The FPs command to remove the limit is gmpcr_unlock_frame_rate = True, but that does not help performance in any way. The game does not get to have 30 FPs.

If you have an NVidia card, read Priced4evil's post here, maybe it will help, maybe not:

I'm running it on ~40 fps on my laptop -- ASUS G750JS But yes it's poorly optimized.

I'm gonna test with LoD settings to see if there's any effect. No, I have ATi card, but I tested on nV systems too. It appears the aspect ratio also needs some fixing, as I have a 16:10 monitor.

All running perfectly smoothly and looking wonderful on my Alienware MX17 R5 laptop, running on the maximum settings available. No stutters at all.
