just this second there is a 1.4gb update incoming after that i want to see if i can reach the main menu.
too bad that so many triple-a games get bad press for screwed up releases. but then again: a bit more QA never killed anybody.
[Edit] and it did the trick. so this seems to fix the problem with the crash on the initial loading screen.
i really hope caliber doesn't get sick of this game too quickly if capcom keeps patching. =)

Looks like they finally got the hint, and have released a proper patch to fix it.
Which now means... different binary time :P
As for me I had to verify cache , and it had 2 files missing . It fixed my load crash issue .

Any fixes for random in-game crashes?

on nvidia cards it might help to downgrade your drivers. other than that, i haven't heard of any solutions for random crashes. =/

I can confirm that using the DDU to uninstall current nvidia drivers and then installing drivers up to but not beyond 337.88 will fix most of the constant crashing - I was able to play the game for two solid hours with no crashes, as opposed to crashes every 5 to 10 minutes before.

Well for me it doesn't crash, i just have massive... lag lol. The game lags so much that it sometime stops/freezes for maybe 4-5 second then rolling in slowmotion lol. The specs are crazy for the game too. Mostly i have the minimum specs in order... only the gpu isnt there.
A GeForce GTX 780 Ti, in Denmark goes for over 4.500 DKK thats roughly 900 US Dollars. Im not gonna pay that kind of money for a graphic card, to only play Dead Rising lol... If they don't fix the perfomance issues i guess its out in the trash can with the game lol.

Lol, so basically the priated game would be better then the legit game.... Hows that for ironic (NOTE: I do not condonce piracy. I myself own a legal copy hehe)

Well the game in itself is actually nice (sandbox/open world zombie killer) Capcom just like to f*ck up thats all. Many of the games released by capcom has a bad port, they just dont have educated ppl for pc code.
