you must wait. the game is just released and a lot of people have problems including me.
@raymondtoonen If you don't mind my asking, what kind of problems are out there? I had a family member download this for me on my Steam account once it was released at home, but I have been busy at work. I have been at the fire dept. running calls all day, and haven't had a chance to really try it. I have my Alienware laptop with me, but the dept. would frown on me using that much data to download it here, so I will have to wait 48 hours until I get home. Are there any major bugs or issues?
Besides the poor performance due to poor optimization, I get frequent random crashes during game play. I've read reports that people have been able to fix the crashing by rolling back to the GeForce 335.23 drivers and at least so far I can confirm that this works. (Haven't played enough yet to really confirm this)
The poor optimization is currently my biggest gripe with this game. It really is poor... The loading before entering the menu sometimes takes over 5 minutes, incredibly poor performance during game play which seems to happen at random. I can have hundreds of zombies in front of me and it performs fine, then I enter a quiet place and the performance just drops to 5/10fps.
That is horrible, and sloppy work in my opinion. I haven't had time to really dig into and research this online, been way too busy at work. Do you guys know if they plan on addressing any of these issues? I won't be playing for at least another 48 hours, plus some sleep time so hopefully by then it will be partially sorted out. I did read online that I need to disable the 30fps cap, and disable motion blur.
