You're misunderstanding the point. This is currently the development build that's set to be released when the game hits retail. Currently, the gamma edition doesn't have offline play but it's now confirmed to be available later.
Also, if you're talking about Galactic War not being possible to play, I dunno what to say. I can play it just fine. :/

After the game is purchase-able for a fair price (not the $100 rip off it has cost before) and someone can confirm it is truely offline playable, I don't think there is a problem to take a look on it again. However we better wait until this point, don't we?

Probably can get cheaper on other places...

It's funny because it was originally posted that retail would be $40. Seems like it gets cheaper as it goes towards release so it wouldn't be that farfetched to believe it might drop to $20(kickstarter price for the retail game) on full release :/
