Trainer seems to work great so far, only two minor issues.
First one is that certain weapons don't like the no-reload (Num4) option which either causes them to only have one bullet and then you reload after each shot, (The "SMG" - called bastard - is one of those.) or it causes the weapon to be constantly reloaded. (The second shotgun you can buy at the market station is one of these weapons, player will continuously put shells into the weapon.)
Turning off the option solves this and most other weapons do seem to work fine.
The second issue is that the no-recoil option (Num9)causes many of the weapons to become silent when fired but that's not much of a problem, again disabling the option solves this.
No other problems with the trainer in either game so far, switching levels works as well, no crashes.
(There is a slight chance the game will crash if you have god-mode enabled - not a issue with the trainer, something with the game I think - and trigger a trap which is meant to kill you, just be careful to avoid tripwires and such.)

for most shotgun weapons, use the LEFT BUTTON to fire. the RIGHT BUTTON is basically FIRE ALL BARRELS button.
best,

Yes that will help, for some of the weapons it does indeed work that way instead of aiming down the sight, for others that will also instead pump the weapon to increase pressure (The pneumatic weapons.) so it's a bit varied.
I think weapon upgrades further complicate this such as that initial double-barrel shotgun getting an extra two barrels when you reach a later station with newer upgrades.
(Then there's stuff like the 5.56 rifle weapons being able to use military grade ammunition - your currency in this game - in addition to your regular ammo but that seems to work fine though every now and again the game switches back to regular ammo but that also has nothing to do with the trainer.)
Again though these issues are very minor and easy enough to work around by temporarily disabling that particular trainer option.
Just as an FYI, if you use the Money (bullets) option to greatly increase your money and at Riga update your pistol (reflex sight, silencer) it will crash your game if you select 1 (pistol) option once you and Bourbon hit the tunnel.
This is a problem with the game, and not the trainer IMO.

I don't know about that, but I do know that using certain guns with the trainer on will crash the game...at least for me. Restarted game, in the 1st chapter when the creatures attack through the vents, you have to grab the revolver from the box on the wall...attempted to grab/take...game crashed. Later, when in Moscow, going through the buildings, checking bodies for loot...I can across what appeared to be maybe a grenade launcher (rifle stock, short nosed) or something like that...attempted to grab...game crashed.
