Upon opening (Not Actiavation) of the trainer, while it attempts to authenticate, the trainer simply crashes on me, before I even have a chance to open the game from Steam. Both the RETAIL+DIGITAL and ORIGINS+NO-CD version have this issue. The WIN8 version doesn't, but as I'm on Windows 7, it simply crashes the game upon activation of a cheat. So that's not helpful either.
I'm quite at a loss of what steps to take to remedy this. Any help?

If the trainer is working in Windows 8, then keep using that one. I have Win 8 and Internet Explorer 11 installed. Most CH trainers seem to be working just fine (Alice: Madness Returns included). No need to uninstall or disable anything. Out of 250 downloaded trainers, only a handful keep crashing. Some of them still active and some retired.

PWizard, after uninstalling IE11, I still had the same issue. And -Detonation-, I already mentioned I don't have Windows 8. I have Windows 7, but I wanted to try the Windows 8 trainer because of the crashing issue with the other two trainers.
All in all, I am still stuck. Uninstalling IE11 did not prevent the trainers from crashing while attempting to authenticate. And the Windows 8 trainer still crashes the game upon activation of a cheat.
