Had an AMD Crossfire set up, but for the past year AMD has been lacking on game support, and performance.

Switched over to NVIDIA again. Just feels smoother for gaming.

I have had AMD for 5-6 years, but the lack of support on games is not good.

What kind of card do you have? No problems here on high settings with a 7950 boost and FX 8150 with the 14.4 drivers. The wife was even watching TV through the xbox as an extender while I was playing. I didn't check my FPS.

Na, it doesn't but 14.4 seems to be the best option. What really helped to steady the frame rate a little bit is the same fix I've already used for Rage.
You have to let the game create a temp folder for texture data. Create a folder e.g. C:/Wolfensteintemp and use the parameter

    +fs_cachepath "C:\Wolfensteintemp"

You can check if it uses the folder by typing fs_cachepath into the console.

This only works as an exe parameter, putting it into the config file doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for the tweak idea, was able to finally play the game without crashing.

The first day I played it, on my AMD/ATI system with crossfire, mine ran like a snail too. The second day, it all smoothed right up and the framerate went way up. I looked at the video options and it seems to me that when I first looked at it "vertical sync" was turned ON by default. The second time I looked at, when the game was running well, it was OFF. So maybe check that and see if vertical sync is on and try turning it off.

Still... the CPU is REALLY busy all the time, but no crashes yet here with 1100T processor and 2 6970's in crossfire with 16gig of ram.

AMD 14.6beta is out now if I remember right. You may want to bump up to that one. With 14.6 I have noticed an issue with 14.4 as there is a line at the top of my screen its tiny. It seems there is screen alingment issues but am not sure how to sort that on my end.

It's really strange that the game has such poor performance on PC-based AMD / ATi systems, since the PS4 is entirely AMD / ATi based. I have an AMD / ATi PC and the game just crashes at the loading screen, every single time. I also have a PS4 and the game runs perfectly.

I would suspect that the whole AMD / ATi thing is a macguffin, and that the real issue is down to a very lazy PC port which no-one bothered to test prior to being relesed.

The fact that there was a day-one patch of 10GB also provides evidence that the game was rushed out to satisfy the marketing team's demands, rather then the much more sensible option of delaying the game until it was finished. The game won't even play off the original discs; it requires a massive 10GB patch to run, so every single game disc is therefore technically faulty.

Well, at least the PS4 version works! And it's great!
