The trainer also needs write permissions to this location:
C:\Users\(YourWindowsUserName)\Cheathappens\Work
Please set up an exception rule in your AV and try again.

I tested this method, unable to get any codes working
I added the folder named "work" to exclude on my windows defender. it is done as you said to do.
Have you tried to temporarily disable Defender + SmartScreen completely? Every real-time protection and background scan?
no help.. it's odd. I can't think of what is stopping it. again i have it setup to be clear. would there be any reason that the trainer has to be inside a different folder. like not the one with the main rwr_game.exe

You can store the trainer wherever you like it to be.
