Did you temporarily disabled your AV or created an exception for the trainer in your AV/other security software?

Please wipe/clean your cache/Windows TEMP folder, reboot your PC and run the trainer with admin rights and try again.

I deleted temp rebooted turned of fire wall and avg free edition to test

note I have version 098+that version trainer in another drive that works fine still

Which means ... it still doesn't run?

Please get rid of AVG and use Windows Defender.

ya it runs and is detected but no effect
I don't need to get rid of avg I disabled it from boot up so its not that or the firewall

Are we even talking about our latest trainer v1.50 and the latest/updated game version on Steam?

AVG is known for being a subpar AV solution. If you run Windows 10 or even Windows 7 or 8.1 use Windows Defender. Some AVs/other security products still have background processes running even though you 'disable them'.

Please try to run the latest trainer with admin rights and temporarily uninstall AVG completely from your system.

look when I said I disabled it froom boot up what do you think I meant I am fully aware of what processes are running om my machine, yes I am talking ver 1.50 steam current version I said I have also an older version on an external hardisk, version 0.98 and that versions trainer which functions as it should.when installed but just to entertain you i uninstalled avg "what do you think disabled from boot up means exactly?"it means not booted ie no processes loaded in the first place too the cpu therefore it wont or cant run as it is not present on the system thanks for trying to help I have over 20 other trainers from this site that work fine by the way and like I say I have an old un-updated version of the game and that trainer works too just not version 1.50 I will wait to see if the next patch one works...........once again thanks for attempting to help so I have run both game exe and trainer exe as admin whilst having no fire wall on or anti virus installed trainer says game found I get the activated f1 message I press the numberpad keys it says activated/deactivated but no effect

So why don't you just use that trainer if it works fine still? There is no way for us to know what has or hasn't changed on your end. Maybe the game patched and no one else has reported it. It could be any number of things. Since you are so computer savvy, did you try a system restore (or full backup restore which I know you are doing daily being a techie) the day it stopped working back to the day when it was?

I'm mean, I'm a MS certified systems engineer and that would have been the first thing I tried after checking to see if the game had updated, a rollback to when it was working to determine what changed between the two points in time. If it was still not working after a complete system image restore to a day when it was working, then likely something with the game changed. If worked again, then obviously something with your computer changed.

We can speculate all day long and our mod has tried his best to help you but in the end we may just have to see if anyone else reports issues with current game and trainer and then check for an update.

but the new version 1.50 has man vs world mode so I would like to use the trainer on that is all
hey its no big deal really I was just reporting the fact it no longer appears to work
by the way I don't work in IT ,but have gamed since the poke and peek days on the zx spectrum so yea I know a wee bit about computers having built this one I am using atm
yea I tried a roll back to last week was the first thing I did as this is just my gaming machine
