How linear is this game, exactly? Or rather how far from the main story can you deviate from in this game?

Ive played 6 hours of it and am loving it. The first 30 mins were a little iffy but once the story started to be told and the options of missions and crafting and items and customizations became apparent, its no small game. Its got plenty to do and plenty of diversity to enhance your character. For a mid priced game its easily better then a lot of high priced games out there. Use nvidia inspector and turn up the graphics and its a beautiful game that merits respect. Looking forward to a trainer myself, mainly to add gold.

In terms of your question NOODLES it plays out a lot like dragons age I and II or like the witcher II in terms of linearity. Another good game to compare to is a lot like Fable Legends. It does make it worth your wild to explore in the game however.

    Released and... it SUCKS.
The voice acting is ridiculous, animations are outdated, the highly promoted combat system is probably the worst I've ever seen. Enemies do not react to any hits.

Was going to buy it but going by the reviews on steam not at $40.Bummer put my monthly requests credits towards the Trainer.lol

After playing a bit more he suggests that people who like RPG's should give it a try. No wonder people on steam are bashing others for reviewing after just an hour or 2.

The tutorial "act" is a bit unrefined. When I first fired up the game and encountered a few bits of the intro dialog, my heart started to sink... Then, holy hell, the game gets incredibly fun and immersive. I haven't been able to stop playing it since it downloaded, myself.

For a moderately priced RPG that almost slipped under the radar, I'd say that this game is well worth the money so far. I haven't finished it, so I can't review it; although, like I said, I'm having a blast with it.

Like others have mentioned, it reminds me of something like a Witcher 2/Dragon Age: Origins hybrid. The level design and play styles are similar enough, which is fine by me, because I thoroughly enjoyed both titles. You're forced to make some fairly intractable decisions along the way that influence your character, companions and the main story progression -- a lot like in The Witcher 2 -- so I can see the potential for multiple replays.

Anyway, I'm not trying to review the game. I'm just communicating some of the high points, in the event that the negative comments were the decider for you.

I don't wanna be the baddy here just for expressing my disappointment. I don't regret buying the game but the highly praised and promoted mechanics are just plain bad. The trainer made it a lot better.
