Activate trainer at main menu or ingame. Open the screen where your gold / gems are shown and press hotkey and then close and open the screen again.

Currently the trainer is not working for me. Seems the version of the trainer is outdated. Game version is up to 1.0.46.
In fact when I used the trainer, and nothing happened, I exited the game and started it again on a saved file and all my influence and gold were reset to 500 and 200. Those were the starting base values for the trainer.

The behavior that I am seeing is that it does not ADD to your total, but instead SETS your total to the amount shown on the trainer.
That is: if trainer is set to 500 gold, activating it will set your gold to 500, regardless of what it had been prior.
