I have to ask, what features of the trainer were you guys using that got you "soft banned?" I feel like it'd be impossible to get caught unless you were messing with stats.
I have been using it online, but never WITH other players, only using item/spell casts, and health/stamina as well as easy kills, and still can connect to others just fine.

CH create this wonderful trainer to make our games much more fun, but we supposed not to use it in online PvP, since modifying your char stats to unrealistic degree will surely attract wary attention from others

Okay, after long research i got on this topic.
I want to thanks you first because you allowed me to get online again.
I got softbanned on my principal steam account, i used the family sharing things to get connected again, and you can have 10 different account linked to your game licence. I don't know if it's unlimited (remove one, put another one...) but if it's the case then you could just edit your banned savegame to make it "legit" and past it in your local directory (appdata/roaming/darksouls2/randomnumber/)
