seems like theyre officially softbanning hackers and putting them into their own pool. i tested this

No, I think that's bull. So long as you aren't using unlimited health when phantoming/being invaded, I don't think the unlimited health will just trigger a soft ban. I have used it, and I am not soft banned.

I still think it's stats - you can't have stats that are out of line with your level, period. That means you can't use the trainer for super stats or reset stats. That's the theory I'm sticking with until someone proves otherwise.

There is a softban, I'm quite sure.
Why you ask?
Well, I was softbanned on my account, at least it seemed like it. Not even newly made characters could summon anyone. So I made a new steam account, bought the game again, and: Everything works. I can summon, I can invade, everything. But with my softbanned account: Nothing. Btw, it's the same installation of the game, same IP, but one account ist softbanned, the other isn't. I think it's correct to assume that VAC automatically tells From who is cheating, and they softban them, easy.

For anyyone wondering: It seems you can, like me, still use your same IP and same installation on the game, but you need to buy it again for a new account. What you could try is: Use family share to share this game with another steam account. Could work.

Its a good thing i was able to quote a direct link to the situation above in the Australian Consumer Act, I doubt they will be able to deny me my refund.

Good luck getting a refund from steam. Even broken unplayable games I got stuck with cause Valve refused to refund.

Yes I'm sure they deny most requests. But you can't deny the legal right to a refund when they have been made aware, word for word, what the consumer law guidelines state.

Most people probably go on rants "Give me my money, this aint fair yo, ima sue you yo".

I still think that the common thread between people being soft banned is the stats not being on track for their level. Like someone having the 5-5-5-5-5-5 all stats from the trainer or the super stats. It's pretty easy to coincide your SL with your stats, as there are only so many classes and obtainable stats for your SL. If you have stats higher than is possible with your SL, soft ban?

I mean, I can't think of anything else.

Is there anyone that was soft banned for using things other than stats?

I haven't changed my stats with a trainer, I created souls and then I was increasing my stats with them. And I am most definetly softbanned.
Aaaand I made unlimited health on some occasions.

A crazy number of people are getting banned or soft-banned and you guys still want to test what features can or cannot ban you... Just don't use the damn trainer online, is that hard?
I'm surprised that no one complained with the CH staff about "getting banned" and asking for refunds 'n stuff.

Yes, the minute I realized I was softbanned I thought: "Well, you played with fire and got burned." I wish I would have been offline while I did what I did, but I learned my lesson the hard way. Well, now I have 2 copies of the game, one for fooling around and one for serious playing.
