Endless Legend Message Board  

Endless Legend has the makings of a great game, but since it's in early access, it's missing a lot of features. A trainer would help shore up some of the tedium and make the game more fun to play while it builds up to its full release.

Love the Endless titles so far, ES was great in many aspects, 4x all the way. Please do use request Points if you wish to see the trainer up running anytime soon. Under the Request Trainer. Fingers crossed around this game and trainer, as the man already wrote, the game is unfinished and theres some stuff that are not implented yet that makes the game much tougher thn it should be! Hopefully, we can get past that With some Tools for the time being. Other then that, great game. Well made alphastage tbh.

You could try your hand at modding...

1. Go to SteamApps/Common/EndlessLegend/Public, BACKUP/COPY the Simulation folder in case you break something.

2. Go back to the original Simulation folder.

3. SimulationDescriptors[UnitType].xml will let you change the basic stats for each factions units. Just doubling the attack and defense stat will be enough to make it a cakewalk.

4. FactionTraits[Affinity].xml will let you change your starting money. Just look for the faction you wanna change and near the end of each entry it will say "Empire Money, 50" Change that 50 to whatever you want. 80000 is plenty enough.

Feel free to mess around with everything else but the rest is generally gameplay mechanics and not much point modding them just yet unless you're really bored...

Because you're modding the main folder, if they patch the game, there's a good chance they will overwrite your settings but just make a note of what values you used and overwrite their new files in exactly the same way if that does happen.

isn't this another one of those games that is basically a shell and is being built? and patches like every day?

It's an early access game, but it has about 80% of its features complete. This is from the same developers that made Endless Space, and their initial release for that game was under similar conditions, just without the early access label. I can't see into the future or anything, but I'd expect patches to be released at about the same rate as they did for their earlier titles (1-2 per month).
