I think there's one behind that cart at the very first bonfire you find. You can light it at a bonfire or an already lit torch sconce, and you can use it to light unlit torch sconces. I'm not 100% sure what they're used for lol. I had no idea they ran out, I just keep relighting mine when it goes out.

yea thats the first torch location

the torch timer is in equipment page, on the right hand side of armor slot

each torch pickup add 5 minutes to the timer

u can light the torch at bonfire by pressing Y

Hey Cal,

Torches enable you to see in dark areas, or light fires. Also light those fire torch stand thingies as well, and they stay light forever.

As for Soul Memory, aka Soul Platinum. It's based on how many Souls you obtain in the game, and is a permanent number. It directly determines your PVP and Co-op encouters, if you aren't within close proximity of Soul Level and Soul Memory, then you can't PVP, or Co-op with that person.

This is a calculator, to tell you the range you need to be for Soul Memory and Soul Level to PVP.

I suggest adding an option, to decrease Soul Memory, so you can lower it, then have the option to Co-op or PVP with friends.
