Yes it is. Origin/EA have been responsible for the most craptacular games ever made. (SPORE ANYONE??)

Note Origin is the Store Download platform. It is EA's fault. Not the SDP.

yes and no ... but EA should make sure their SDP can support the demand from the client ... example SIMCITY ... great game but they EA put it out for online and if they would of had a different SDP maybe it wouldn't of been a bomb over the first month ... ... so more or less i'm saying its gonna be a great game just not ready to get disappointed before preordering again ...

I dislike EA on many of their choices but Origin isn't one of them. It would be nice if they start doing similar sales like Steam. Origin support as a customer is far and away better than Steam. The return policy and actual customer interaction is more fluid and helpful for people that actually buy games. Steam is a polar opposite in this regard. If I buy a game that's utter trash and won't even work well I'm just SOL on Steam.

Simcity I didn't buy due to the online only and seemingly bad game play mechanics they introduced. It was the same thought process that stopped my interest in Diablo 3. I have plenty of misgivings and general negative bias towards EA but Origin runs and works fairly well. Support seems top notch compared to other alternatives.

I have a huge Steam library (who doesn't these days?) but it's good to have alternatives. I don't see the problem with more competition for digital distribution for games. We have great places like GOG/GMG/G2A/Origin/Steam and some more now. Things look great from where I'm sitting.

The biggest thing with Origin for me is when i login ... never works the first time have to try multiple times ... never have this issue with steam ... hard to let go to things we have become accustom to ...
