Thank you Jack I'll try that, I hope it will solve the issue before the endless patching begins.
Edit: sadly enough that didnt work for me at all, I still get about 60 fps solid but as soon as I start scrolling the map it promptly drops to 40-45, thanks anyway.

i saw also someone else with a possible workaround
start the game windowed then in game click the maximize window
maybe that helps king bro
Just tried it and it worked! I get 90 fps with maximized window and it goes down to 70 when scrolling, it's a bit tough to scroll because you have to click and drag with the mouse but at least it's playable for now.
