I'll take a look on it right now. If the problem is not fixable for any reason the game is retired as I have given my best by providing a savegame editor and a trainer.
I'll edit this post when there is something new to say.

Downloaded and tested the trainer out, works great now. I appreciate the hard work you have put into this 0x90.
Restart the game and make sure your ended your turn and your gold value got updated. Then try to activate.
The trainer works most of the time now. I guess you have to hit F1 at the precise time.
