I realize this game is listed as permanently retired and not to be considered for requests. That being said, the game has been updated, bugs fixed, and revised. It is listed as AI War beta 7.010. I know trainers do not have to be updated every time a game receives patching. With this mind, I downloaded the trainer available. The issue is that upon initiating the trainer, it crashes before I can load the game; let alone interface with the game.

Chris or whomever,
I do not have any form of IE installed on my computer. I use Chrome Version 33.0.1750.154 m. Why would I reformat Windows 8?

Please explain; how does a web browser effect an applications operating parameters? Everything downloads the same. I do not rely on the browser to initiate the application.

Chris, I just installed IE 11 and then downloaded the trainer. The trainer failed to initiate again.

The old trainers use a component of IE9 to authenticate.

From the trusty trainer troubleshooting guide:
Personalized trainers suddenly crashing during the authentication process?
Odds are you have upgraded your operating system to Windows 8 or installed Internet Explorer 10/11 on Windows 7 or earlier. With this software release, Microsoft changed a core piece of functionality that has been in place since IE1 was released. Our authentication process relied on this component and this is why the trainers are crashing. We have gone through and updated the most recent version of most trainers to be compatible with this update. All trainers released after around July of 2012 are already compatible. You can find the compatibility status on each trainer download page (marked as Windows 8 compatible). There is more information on how to get older trainers to work and the process for requesting a trainer to be updated on our FEEDBACK message board.
