Metro: Last Light Message Board  

So yeah, at the beginning of the level, the ferry guy is not where he is supposed to be, and when you fall into the water due to the log, you are stuck there and cannot proceed with the game. Help? o3o

I don't recall any special technique for it. It's several games back for me, but I remember just ringing the bell to call him, then there's a whole bunch of killing to do till he gets there. He'll let you know he's there, you leap to his ferry and there's more to kill during the ride. He will show up for ya tho.

Hey, did you have any trouble with the double-barrelled shotgun? It would like freeze you up when you reloaded it? The quad was ok, just the double. That happen to you, too? Great game and trainer.

Make sure you have Super Damage turned off. If you take out the giant monster Shrimp thing before getting to that point, it'll do that. Basically, if you think it might be a "boss" fight, don't use Super Damage.

...Dark Water is the level before Venice ._.
You know, when he says like "I don't usually fish in these waters, but I had a hunch they would catch good here" or so.
But yeah, now that problem is over, but now the Trainer does not work T_T

Ah, I must have my levels mixed up. I thought you were talking about the swamp level, where you were slogging around looking for fuel canisters and such. I remembered in that level there was a big bog monster you had to fight like 4 or 5 times. If you killed it before the final fight at the end of the level, the level would hang.

edit: The level I'm thinking of is Sundown, which comes two maps after Dark Water. Sorry for the mix up.

Make sure you have super damage turned off. He does appear, but it seems he takes some kind of damage, and because of the super damage option, he dies, and falls in the water. He is obviously not going to pull you out of the water after that.
