This title appears to be yet another title in the trend for steam to allow developers to release games onto it's platform that literally are in EARLY development. If you read the steam page where, amazingly, the game is FOR SALE and yet they are clearly stating:

    Early Access Version
WARNING: THIS GAME IS AN EARLY ACCESS BETA VERSION. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE SERIOUS ISSUES, UNFINISHED FEATURES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAMEPLAY.

The developers themselves say on steam also:

If you are looking to play a polished and finished game, we advise you NOT to purchase this Early Access version.

It seems that very small developers are not even going the kickstarter route and are allowed to put their unfinished games directly onto STEAM and they are not completed works.

    This title is 25 dollars.

I guess it would be good to have some feedback from the members on these types of titles. The problem for Cheathappens is that these titles are often placed onto the REQUEST list and they are obviously popular enough to get enough points to be added to the trainer to-do list. However, we as trainer developers (especially 0x90) are inundated with patch after patch of these literally broken and unfinished titles, which can take up 50% of our coding time. furthermore, it seems that when the games are finally stable months (or years) later that the interest for them is long gone.

we'd like to strike a fair compromise with the members and get feedback on these troubling game titles. Feel free to chime in and let us know what you are thinking about these titles and how cheathappens might deal with these games.

should we wait until they are stable and complete?
if we do trainers for these titles, should we update them when they patch like once a week?

    your thoughts are welcome..

    best,

Well, it's like walking a line. It would be great with a trainer. However, when games are patching all the time it all comes down to you considerations.

In my opinion you could wait until the game is complete. And if you do go for it before that, I would suggest that you have a rule of, ex a maximum of one update each month or something like that.

This will effectively shield agaist the daily/weekly updates that some game have.

The consideration of setting a maximum frequency could also be great for other anoying games, which you at the moment retire. But I would find a frequency of updates like 6 months a great idea.

So i will make my first post here today =)
A trainer is always nice to have, but i ( and a lot of other guys too ) can understand that its a lot of work, to update the trainer nearly every day.

I think the best is to wait, that the game has reached the 1.0 stadium and than start to create a trainer like for every other game.

At least a little question: Can we request this game again when its out of the early access?

I hope my english is not soooooo bad

    Keep up the good work

    Best regards

if the game isn't finished it doesn't deserve a finished trainer.

The problem with many of the Early Access games is that by the time they are finished, so is the gaming community's interest in the game.

I think a balance should be struck somewhere between updating a trainer every time the game patches and waiting for the finished game.

Maybe an EA game's trainer could be updated regularly until the game shows that it will be updating on a ridiculous pace.

MMX is an excellent example of an EA game that usually waited to update until it had a substantial amount of changes to actually update.

Balance is rarely the easiest path, but usually the most beneficial one to take.

The game is fun so far, the supply point system is a nice change but it would be nice if they tweaked it. I think the unit officer system for each unit is pretty sweet. They went with a TW 2 type building system so you have to chose what type of province it is going to be the archer units are a tad OP.
