I've been reading about how the game's been retired because of version and operating issues, just curious if anyone's still playing this game and if the trainer still works or if they've patched the game again?
I'm running a Win7 machine so hopefully I won't run in to some of the same problems as some of the other folks on here, and being 70% off on Steam for the weekend does seem rather inviting.

Same boat on the deal. Even if it doesn't work, hard to pass up on the Steam price. 38 Studios is out of business, so no more fixes or improvements.

The trainer is only for Origin and the Origin one will not be updated as it is in the permanetly retired section. As for Origin users. Do not update the game as it will make your trainer not work. Plus Origin users have to manually patch the game via the Origin client.

So am I correct in understanding that the Trainer 1.0.0.2 (04.24.2012 STEAM) is out of date? And I agree, bought this game on the 360 but never finished it, enjoyed the RPG style and story, was thinking of picking it up too.

I think that the 1.0.0.2 Steam trainer will work for you IF and ONLY if you are running Windows 7 and DO NOT have Internet Explorer 10 or higher.
With this setup, and based upon the last page of the main trainer thread (specifically Machine4578's post) it should work. I can run the game with the trainer and both (game + trainer) work as intended. As far as I know, I have an up-to-date game version and the matching trainer.
Please note, I am not 100% sure what version of the game I am running, but I AM 100% sure that my game and the trainer work with my current setup.

Probably will be.

So I decided to pull the trigger and bought the game, just started but so far it looks like the trainer does indeed work for the Steam version. I am running Win7 and I don't use Internet Explorer but I'm pretty sure it's some version of IE 9 so if you had any reservations, you're good to go.
