Yeah, that's how I had been doing it, and it HAD been working just fine...now, for whatever reason, I can't get it to work...

    That's odd.

    Have you restarted your game?

Because, I'm playing the game as we speak and I'm in battle and it's working.

Yeah, I restarted, even tried going back to a previous save and then tried completely restarting the game...all to no avail. No idea what I did to make it just completely stop working...

Hm, not sure if this is the problem, but in most cases I get the "trainer cannot find game" twice on a playthrough(Once, being the first time you use an option.)

At this point the options stop working for me, but I restart the game and it works again.

I think to be safe, once you start every battle you should click on your first unit showing his health and his commands then press F1 to wait if "trainer cannot find game" pops up again, then proceed with the method.

Ah HA! That did it! I guess I had stopped clicking on a portrait before doing the initial F1 press that gives "trainer cannot find game". I had been doing the initial F1 press BEFORE clicking on anyone in the battle...strange that that small little blip makes a difference.

@PWiz and/or Caliber: You guys might wanna add a note to that effect in the readme.

nah, it's the trainer. it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, like many of the more recent ones. guess games become progressively more complex and harder to make cheats for.

What you were doing "Pressing F1 before selecting unit and pressing F3 after" was fine.

It's just the simple fact that you need to select the unit showing the health/armor and the commands and then pressing F1 for the very first time, hearing the "trainer cannot find game" etc, etc, FIRST.

Then you can proceed with the method you were doing.

But, better safe than sorry. I had the tendency of pressing F1 Twice, just in case the "trainer cannot find game" popped up in the next fight.

Although, you get it now, this is just for others who don't understand it quite yet.

the reason for all the 'capture unit' and etc. having to be done is because the newb developers of this game used adobe air/shockwave to code their game. this is 'flash online game' technology from 2001 type stuff, so it's a compile at runtime pile of junk coding, but since there was only 3 developers I guess this is the route they chose rather than actual game coding.

so adobe air from time to time re-codes the game code in memory since it is more of a plugin engine rather than actual native PC code base.

    best,
