Oh? I clicked on the link which didn't work, but google showed it as the Hyne one. Either way, Hyne loads for me on Win8, where as Qhimm doesn't.

Because you probably need the DLL files to make it work, like I had to do, searching for the needed DLLs isn't hard.
It was created using an old VB so newer OS's don't have the DLLs..
As for the Hyne editor..
Hyne has a MUCH Higher chance of deleting your save file, so Before you do ANYTHING BACKUP YOUR SAVES!
Run the game, get to the load save selection then use the editor, after you are done using the editor and you save the changes Load your save game, after it loads Save your game.
Otherwise your save will be deleted.
So in short, save your game in more than 1 save slot so you have it as a backup incase you mess up some how, manually backing up the save files in a different folder is a good idea as well.
Also, careful with editing the chocobo world also as that tends to get deleted as well.

Thanks guys for the link! But i've the same problem with the missing .dll, So I look on google, but i see it's highly not recommended to download a .dll on a website who propose a dll download...So i want to be careful with that...
(Ps: I "just" want all the card in the deck)
Once again sorry for my bad english...And so many thanks for the help!

So i tried what everyone said. I can modify my saved game and save it using Hyne, but when i open FF8, the game doesn't register the change I did. I unplugged my internet, that didn't work. I turned off the sync on Steam, didn't work. I opened the game and before I loaded the saved game and modified using the editor then went back to the game, didn't work. Anyone have any other ideas cuz i am out.
When i first bought the game and went to my first save point in the game, I opened the editor and saved it and it worked. I just can't do it again.

When i did this in FF VII, i saved the game on 3 different slots every time. The launcher only deleted one of them.
I think it only deletes the newest save by default.
Never had an issue with editing my FF VII or VIII games using that save strategy.
