I've also been wishing for device health and crew skill level h@x. Don't know if either is feasible, but either would rock!

Game has been retired. The developers offically announced they got your money and don't care if you are interested in receiving of what they have promised Link (my words).
As the game has stopped being developed, we stop the support for this game.

I think it should be fair to report that in fact the game was not technically abandoned. It was released today, full version and all.

Granted, it does not have the ton and a half features they promised but it is now a full fledge game and all, not in alpha anymore with the promise of fixes in the upcoming days/weeks in case of bugs.

Yes, it also implies that modders will have to fill the gaps to bring it up to its "promised" state but still...

In light of these facts and considering that the retirement of this game pertained to its "abandonment", does this means that since the motives for its retirement are now invalid, it will be supported again?

Yeah, I'd like to see it get one more update since it's done but they did say there might be some small fixes coming so maybe after that?

yes at least 1 more update would be nice,those of us who bought in to the high dreams of this need cheats

Citizen Health, Affinity Override, Skill Maxing and Godmode would be nice besides oxygen (though I have to admit it's nice to not have builders suffocate anymore).

"Money" (Matter) is easily hacked with CoSMOS (Double*1).
