NFS:Rivals requires the Visual C++ x86 and x64, most programs will install only one pertinent to the OS it's running. If you have a 64bit system and OS than you probably don't have all the updates installed. (Or likely have a "scene" edition that doesn't even check the pre-requisites.) I would suggest checking that you have the usual things updated but all the VCx86 and VC 2012 installed. If that still causes a problem reinstall it after the updates have been done.
If those don't work you'll have to contact EA as it's something specific to your system.

In case anyone is wondering, @dedecheat sent me a PM that my thoughts were correct. For those of you who might still be having trouble make sure to update both the x86 and x64 versions of the MS Visual C++.

There should be 2 sort cuts that was added to your desktop one will run the game in 64bit the other in 32bit if you highlight the shortcuts they will show witch is witch. you can all so set how its ran in Origin ( hover over the NES rivals single mouse click on the (I) that will open the info find and click on ( Game Properties that will open a new window find (when launching game) under that will be a drop down click on it an pick the x64 = 64bit or x86=32bit. Don't ask why its 86 as its way off 32 I know but I did not make it lol I'm just one of the few that read the well Read me files I hope this will help you

never mind..... just read through the readme..... for those like myself who dont check em since we know what we are doing:
AS ALWAYS, WE SUGGEST YOU PLAY WITH OUR TRAINER IN ORIGIN OFFLINE MODE! This trainer is ONLY for the 32 bit version of the game. Please make sure you launch the 32 bit version ONLY! To do this through ORIGIN, right-click on the game box in ORIGIN and select GAME PROPERTIES then select Need for Speed Rivals (x86) from the Options box then click APPLY. The game will then launch the 32 bit version.
😑 GG.......

I am in the same situation with this game on Windows 11 Pro via the new EA app (Ex Origin), how can I use the trainer? Every time I receive please run this game in 32bit, I'm running on the icon without 64bit on the name, and still the same issue. There is a fix?
