I am just curious... Why do the updates always break trainers anyway? Do the updates actually always change the specific code the trainers find? IE: The address for ammo is changed for every version. If so, why would the developers do something like that? ammo counter obviously works, why change it's address?

The issue is that one change that seems nothing to do with ammo could affect it's position in memory.

Imagine that the memory is like a bunch of boxes on a table, each box holds data for something in the game. Due to some data needing more room than others some data uses more than one box. Ammo is in the 7th box but the developer changes the amount of data stored in one of the boxes before and now Ammo is in the 8th box. Now imagine the thousands of boxes need to store the data this game will use and ammo could even end up anywhere.

I also think that only making so many updates to patches is a better use of time by the CH team. wait till the patch is 2 days old before even bothering to adapt the trainer and turn off auto-updates for the game and only update when CH makes a new trainer.

It is insane and with all due respect to the CH staff, I also made the same suggestion.

Please just... IGNORE this game for at least 3 weeks or so if not longer. It's going to take a while for them to fix the problems.

could the developers just WORK FOR THREE WEEKS AND FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS and THEN release a patch?

how hard is it to work for several weeks and drop a truly useful patch? because the game REALLY IS THIS BROKEN?

Egosoft are in full-on damage limitation mode, which is (I'm fairly certain) why they're releasing so many mini-patches; they want to be seen to be doing something about the god awful state the game was released in. They've fixed a lot of crashes, but I'm not even sure if they've fixed the whole 'You can buy and capture capital ships, but they won't shoot back at the enemy' bug yet.

The game has a lot of potential, it really does, but it's going to be a hell of a hike reaching it. I don't agree with the hordes demanding refunds, I have instead put it on my 'Leave it alone until Christmas to see what they do with it' list; it should be a lot better by then (Plus the modders are doing wonderful things).

At this point, despite how grateful I am for your continued efforts to keep up to this annoying daily mini-patch routine, I'd agree with everyone else and say do one trainer a week, at least for now. Save yourself some bloody grief and wait until the devs get their collective sh*t together

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull****

I am surprised they haven't done what too many other development teams like to do to their talent after a big production.

Fired members of the development team to save on overhead.

Busting their butts? There are dozens of bugs in this title and they've patched the game at least three times in the ten days since its release.

If they'd been busting their butts, they wouldn't still be performing patches addressing day 1 bugs.
