Right click on the trainer and run as administrator.

Yes done that and i'm still getting message: "How do you want to open this file".

I get a similar message when I try to run the uplay trainer on Windows 10. Didn't have an issue with 7. Compatibility issue maybe?

New message after resolving virus protection says "Could not install file - Installation failed"
Tried running it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and 8. Still not working. Tried running it before and after game was running. Not sure what I'm looking for with the previous advice of looking through the logs. Anyone got a different approach?

completely uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer. give windows temp folder full permissions. after working, find a new security product.

Hello,

Game freezes ( Windows error message: .exe has stopped working) while pressing F1 at Main Menu. Not sure why, since there is no new Game version released.

Tried activating F1 while on Desktop, didn't work. Trainer is running as admin. Even deactivating Antivirus & Firewall doesn't help.
