This game hasn't gotten a patch or update in years.. why is the most recent version showing as active, but there hasn't been a Steam version created?

I suggest something to the effect of a "longevity" update...

E.G. games more than two years old would get an update every 6 months if they needed it instead of immediately like the rest of the newer games.

Let's face it.. you do a single update and it can last literally forever for some of these games.. but I've checked dozens of games I've been trying to plate lately and found that, not only are they retired, but they have been retired for years and not a single update to the game itself has happened in that space of time. Any requests for games to be returned to active status are often responded to with crude and disrespectful posts about how there's no time... When the reality is.. a trainer could be created and posted, keeping the paying users happy that would require very low maintenance beyond a certain timeframe...
