    Informing notice to users

This is just to inform users about the Dragon Age Origins - Mega Trainer (Patch #5 STEAMD2D).

I can confirm that the Dragon Age Origins - Mega Trainer (Patch #5 STEAMD2D) trainer works for the Steam version of the Ultimate edition. It also works with the Awakening addon and the others which are within Ultimate edition. This is via win 7 tho.

    ---

Note if you are looking for help with the Win 8 version I am unable to help and can only advise trying the Win 7 fixes I have and many others have posted. Also to win 8 users there will be no updates to this trainer.

    ---

Those who have Win 7 please make sure you roll back your IE to IE 9. Follow the steps below. (For those with win 8 you can not remove IE10). Note it does not matter if you use IE or not it gets auto updated now to IE10.

    ---

    1. Click the Start button,
    2. Click the Control Panel,
    3. Click Programs and Features,
    4. Click on View Installed Updates on the left-hand side,
(Internet Explorer 10 will be shown as an automated update),
    5. Right click and choose Uninstall,
(This process takes a little while so be patient and do not be tempted to stop the program while it is deleting Internet Explorer 10. Soon you will be asked to reboot the computer for this change to take effect. Do reboot as this will reset the computer to the former version of Internet Explorer 9).

    ---

Steam users: You should run the trainer in Admin mode as well as steam in admin mode. When using trainers with steam.

    ---

Origin Platform users. The trainers will not run with the Origin Platform version.

    ---

Those having the issue with missing dlc one steam version Ultimate edition. Do the following:

Find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.

    D:\Steam\steamapps\common\dragon age ultimate edition

Once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom. In there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam, when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam. Start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working. I feel this should also work for those who did not get the Ultimate Version on steam.

    ---

There is a console command mod which will allow you to see the console so you can use it if you can not use the trainer (e.g. those who have win8). You can find it at this address.

I'm really frustrating right now. the trainer #3 (the PATCH #5 STEAM/D2D) don't even start for me. I used google chrome but have IDM to download, doesn't work, so I change to the Chrome default downloader, still not work. BTW, I had Win 7 64bit and Ultimate edition via steam

I have Win8 x64. You can remove IE 10 easily. Programs And Features > Turn Off Windows Features > Uncheck IE10, then restart the computer. Just make sure you have another browser already installed Chrome, Fire Fox, etc.

OK thanks for that information. I was getting conflicting info on that. But can you have IE 9 on Win8?

Unfortunately not, IE 10 was specifically encoded for Win8 when it rolled out. It's a compatibility issue. Sorry

OK no probs so I can rule out that possible fix.
