I hate both summer and winter. Too hot in the summer and snow ruins everything during winter.
You live in the wrong place my friend, here winter is mild, its cold but not too cold and it rains occasionally..

I never used to like winter those Dark cold nights etc, until 3 years ago we had a wood burning and multi-fuel fire installed in our living room and now I look forward to lighting this fantastic fire and the warmth is brilliant.
But I must also admit I do love the summer in the UK that's when we have a summer lol this year has been exceptional for the amount of summer heat, my two pear trees one a desert pear the other is a conference pear they have been bountiful to me this year.

Lol totally understandable I think Britain's summer is Israel's winter..
If you lived in Sweden you wouldn't love winter so much.
Why? I absolutley adore snow, try to live in Israel with 8 months of summer with unbelivible heat levels and high humidity, it's hell on earth, trust me Sweden is much better.
