Weird that they're not showing up for you, Drenus; they should be available at every aux barracks, regardless of location.

@Sanjin: Yeah Cretan archers. If you look in your in-game encyclopedia, go into units and then look at Rome's units, scroll down to Auxiliary units, and on each unit's page there will be a 'Requires' section to the right, which will display what level of building they need, as well as which locations.

I think Syrian and Persian archers are quite good too. Syrian archers have the best stats i think for Roman aux archers. Make a line of 8 armoured legionary cohorts and 8 syrian archers right behind them and enjoy the carnage.

Yeah they are better, they're just a pain to get to (I don't expand that far east until much later, usually).
Plus, I'm in the middle of making a Macedon visual overhaul mod; changing the appearance of most of their unit tree. Cretan Archers look amazing now (If I do say so myself) and I've just added them to Macedon's unit production list, too.
