I just got fallout 1,2, and tactics from steam and installed FO1. Im not expecting FO3 graphics or anything but why are all the movies full of rainbow colored pixels? Its sort of looks like my video card is dying but it only happens during the movies not the actual game. Is it just because its that old?

Hmmm. I remember playing them on my old laptop fine (vista). Try running them in XP compat mode.

Ahh good call. I did a bit of testing and all I had to do was set the colors to 256 and the size to 640x480 and it came in fine even without being in xp compatibility mode.

no such luck on FO2 though. as soon as I try to change any of the settings to make that rainbow effect go away it crashes saying "fallout appears to be running in compatibility mode"
