Sorry to say I am also a Uplay victim. I bought that version and wish I had gone with Steam. I got a deal, or so I thought at the time. Then I discover the trainer does not care much for you play. I don't know if Ubi has this running on DX9 or 11. I would say 11. I start the trainer and open the game, but there is no main menu as other games have. I shows a screen that says "Press any button to begin." Then the game loads where you left off. I tried starting the trainer on the screen that pops up just before the load screen and hear, Trainer activated, but nothing in the trainer works. If I use the F! when asked to press any button and try any trainer button, the screen freezes and I have to go to Task Manager, t get out of the game. I see the "Game has closed." My drivers are up to date and my anti virus has no objections either. I have also used start in Admin in both the Uplay and start up and trainer. My last hope I see as I type is perhaps starting the game from the programs list. Not the Task bar icon or Desktop icon. This will be a first for me and C H, not being able to run a trainer. Could the Uplay version, have something that stops C H? I seriously hope not.
But Many Thanks the C H all the same.

I am pretty sure that even if you bought the Steam version you would still have to use Uplay. I have Far Cry 3 and Assassins Creed 3 on Steam and each time I played them Uplay had to be opened before I used them.

I find it stupid that I need two different accounts to play one game.

Yes if you got it through steam you still have to use Uplay. I have Heroes Might and Magic, Driver, Splinter Cell Conviction and they need both platforms.
