Dead Rising 2 Message Board  

I have tried Every Trainer available for Dead Rising 2, I Have Windows 7 and have the game on Steam. The #2 Trainer won't even open it says it has stopped working and asks me to check Windows for a solution. I don't understand why none of them work. I had the problem installing the game and it wouldn't verify release date by Windows Live, so I followed a solution of deleting the Zdp files in Steam folder. then verified the cache on steam and it finally worked.(don't know if that would be a problem) someone please help.

Only the most recent trainer is compatible with IE10 installed on Windows 7. All others will crash immediately.

The first one crashes too, I'm boggled. I have never had a problem with your guys/gals stellar work. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I just tried the newest one again and it crashes right after i load a game. being signed in won't affect it right?

You can try uninstalling IE10. Also disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. Make sure game is completely patched up. Right click run as admin on trainer.

We haven't touched this game in over 2 years, so no idea what would be causing you an issue at this point.

same issue on windows 8 pro x64. i have no AV at all. i have not had an issue with any other game, ever.

only dead rising 2.

ever single time i activate the trainer, it crashes the game CTD.

Sadly if you're running windows 8 you can't use the correct trainer. Apparently the developers rolled back the version number. The first trainer (7.04.2011) is the only one compatible with windows 8 and IE 10. But, you really need the second trainer (1.06.2011) since the game version was rolled back. But, the second trainer (1.06.2011) is not compatible with windows 8 and IE 10. I've looked and so have a couple others but no can seem to find the latest patch (7.04.2011). In the orginal trainer thread either PWiz or Caliber said they can't make 1.06.2011 patch windows 8 compatable. I don't remember why but you may want to skim the last couple pages of the orginal trainer thread.
