Lucas pope (the maker of papers please) has my respect for what he is doing with steam. Updates for beta builds are optional, and available on his site. this being said IF you update, it will most likely break the trainer. papersplea.se/update/
Although I want a trainer for this game, and I thank PWizard and the team of cheat happens for their trainer already, Lucas will most likely be updating again and again to stomp out bugs. So advise not requesting a trainer until such time, especially since Lucas is hard at work fixing things.
So if you want a trainer, don't update. if you want updates, wait on the trainer.
