"Unlimited Ammo" side effects on Steam achievements

Note: This is not an update request just a tip.

When using "RISE OF THE TRIAD TRAINER 1.3" to gain Steam achievements, note that the "Unlimited Ammo" option, though it does work, does not get counted on Steam as a kill, e.g. the counter for

You Shall Not Pass
Kill 666 enemies with the Dark Staff

will not go up if you kill with the Dark Staff with unlimited ammo turned on. Alas this means you cannot simply pick up one Rocket Launcher and from then on kill all enemies with it just to up the kill counter for that weapon.

This fails for all weapons that do not use bullets, i.e. all of those that don't have unlimited ammo to begin with.

Tip 2: In E3L3, for the 5th secret you must rocket jump to get the god mode special item. If you have unlimited ammo turned on this pick-up fails to register as a secret though! So be mindful of the "unlimited ammo" option. BTW, should you have forgotten to turn off "unlimited ammo" prior to pickup, you have to restart the map, and replay it, and not forget to turn off the option this time. Otherwise you will always be missing that one secret.

Seems the "Unlimited Ammo" trainer code quite aggressively interferes with the game, to the point of breaking it in the above special cases.

Obviously, should you not care about achievements or secrets, this is not really an issue at all.

Looks like the game was updated to 1.5.1 today, a 1.2 GB update, and the trainer no longer works.
