For me this game is 100% nostalgia. I backed early in the Kickstarter and I'm glad I did. We knew what we were getting.

With that said I would literally download SNES emulators so I could play this game from time to time. Shadowrun returns was a little more true to the table top than the SNES game but its still a lot of fun.

I personally hope that someone imports the sega campaign into this game as the developer made modding very easy Who know's maybe a FPS may come down the pipe a la XCom if there's enough interest.

Don't know about the Genesis campaign, but the SNES one already gave it's first steps and that's a good sign for both of them.
I really enjoyed both versions, having finished both. But I admit I enjoyed the SNES one the most, and am really hoping the dude(s) behind the porting manage to deliver a half-decent campaign.

Interesting. I finished my first run through the game last night. I liked it. However, I'm fairly sure what we have is a new game engine with an editor and a starter campaign to give you a feel for the genre.
    Sound familiar?

I think this game is a good start.
    Cons:
    -too linear
    -no voices
    -short campaign
    -very few cyberware, no bioware

    Pros:
    -isometric
-at least shadowrun -so far the first, and i hope not the last
    -editor provided

Yeah the no voices bothered me for some reason, perhaps we're spoiled these days or I do in fact have ADHD 😵

Ditto...i think it was too long ago i read so much on the rig...as i can recall my memories, it was Fallout 1 or so. What is actually - with the Fallout 2- the only game in my life since it's introduction.

My assessment would be about the same.
the editor is the hope on the horizon.

I'm with TheGrube on this in a way but for different reasons.

So I've gone back replayed some of my older games. Been having a blast with STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl with the 2009 Complete mod. There's a complete mod for each of the 3 Stalker games in the series now that vastly improve them graphically and by adding extra content and fixing game crashing bugs. Haven't had a crash yet with the Shadow of Chernobyl 2009 Complete mod.

Improves the original game a lot but keeps it intact. Such a creepy depressing game world though but that's what makes it good and scary along with those snorks that just come out of nowhere and leap at you. A real crap your pants moment to say the least.

But the shooting (gun fights with bandits and the such) are just so awesome. So many guns, weapons, weapon mods, etc. I recommend adding a mod to make guns more powerful though. I hate that the original version took so many shots to kill someone or creatures.
