Glad you like it, I never meant Mass Effect had the best graphics just better and more life like than this . I like RPGs just not Point and click type with tiny characters. Like I said I agree I should have checked this out before buying. I enjoyed the Elder Scrolls series, Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins, The Witcher 2.THere have been many other popular RPG's with Point and Click and tiny characters over the years but I don't enjoy those type of RPGs. Again my fault should have checked this out first.

Everyone, thegrube is allowed to have an opinion. You're allowed to have an opinion. I'm glad that you've all been pretty civilized about it, but please watch the insults.

Ditto! Normally I just reply to topics already started as "how is it", "should I buy it".etc. I'm happy for everyone who enjoys this game though. Well I done commenting on this one, live long and prosper!

If it's just not your cup of team is it really worth making a topic about it though

lol so true.... either way I'm glad he spent his money to support them to continue on making more games for those of us that do like the game and gameplay.

    this is a juzsaying reply-
the reason 'my friends' even consider non-traditional means of acquiring games is because of the amount of money they have wasted on crap games they could not take back and get a refund.(master of orion 3 for example)
so either we are stuck in a system where those people who are cunning enough to use a great franchise name into suckering people into dumping money into subpar games, so that we get more subpar games.
or we have a free to try model, and if you then want those game creators to make more games- you send them the money.
i know these thoughts are outside of the 3"x5" card of approved topics, but your post is the very attitude that drives people away from kickstarter.
the game was crap, and i'm a lover of isometric games (fallout/torment) and i'm a lover of shadowrun. I'm still optimistic my investment in project eternity will be well rewarded. (but then look who is on the project)

this is just a just sayin' reply to the just sayin' comment, that's just your opinion on this game being 'crap' many people including me, enjoy the game, I was just saying how he wasn't upset since he stated it was only $20 didn't like it, but that he still is supporting the developers, and I don't agree with Shadowrun Returns ever being deceiving about it's gameplay or advertising, hell the first trailer for them (on steam) was the devs giving you a tour of how the game actually works in the gameplay, the description tells you what is going on in the 'About the Game" if you were feeling out-smarted or suckered into thinking this game wasn't advertised how they have, then i'm sorry you didn't read or pay attention to what the game is about.. I agree with a lot of big budget publishers they do try and sucker you in with a pre-rendered trailer giving you next to nothing or nothing about the gameplay at all, that I would agree with. but that isn't the case with Shadowrun Returns, just don't see it and they published the game themselves. Don't see how that comment would ever deter someone from a kickstarter since it's the people that whatever is kickstarting is in the market for, regardless of what anyone thinks, they have a mind of their own to make their own decisions. So I think you read the wrong comment or read too much into it. anyhow, just sayin'

P.S. you'd might want to advise 'your friends' to watch out about their 'non-traditional' means of acquiring games. They are cracking down on piracy more.

my post doesn't infer you didn't enjoy it.
17 year coder telling you that a lot of love and work went into this game.
At the end of the day- it really is crap. linear, point a to b.
Felt no connection to the characters, didn't feel drawn into the story. the mechanics were fine. maybe someone else will use the tools to create more of reactive world.
i just think sometimes, we allow ourselves to get emotionally wrapped up in the idea of the game, plus being that it is more akin to a home grown- we want to pull for the lil' guy.
but with all that said- they got this sucker. that won't get him again.

Sorry you feel that way, but thankfully there's plenty of games out there to try, I myself am backed up on games to play since the Summer Sale. Hope you find one you like.

well, sure, plenty of good games.
summer sale is great, i'm back logged too.
I just spent the last two days delving into shadowrun, and i really wanted to like it.
That is why i played from beginning to end... sometimes a game has to grow on you.
So, i'm not a 5 minute commenter. I really tried to like it.
Maybe some feedback on the games' forum will help them if they get enough funding to develop more.
