I'm really terrified they'll start busting your VAC status for cheating in single-player games.
Thanks to the CH people for all you guys do.
isn't it great to be terrified of a company that holds all your games and you don't actually 'own' them?
best,
Cal
While I recognize the totally rhetorical nature of this question, the answer is "No." It's even worse to feel powerless to change it because Valve has a ....load of money and power while I've just got a 400-game collection that I don't own and which could be taken from me at any time even though I go OFFLINE MODE to play games with trainers. For goodness' sake, this is bull.... right here.
Thank you for responding. I can confirm at least one game as "totally working" - Bioshock: Infinite. Works like a charm. I haven't tested the others, on account of there are hundreds of them. But the fact that even my GoG game collection, if launched from Steam, now has this "FEATURE" is so much bull.... that I can't even begin to see the ground. Up to my knees. And extremely, lividly mad.
From here on out, I will be replacing any of my non-Source games with physical copies, or going GoG only. Any Source games will be patched and Steam will be removed.
Valve better get their shtako together and fix this, or more people will do the same.
Well I dunno what the go is but I do know steam slipped in yet another update when I logged on about 20 minutes ago & that the 'steam trainer activation tool' doesn't appear able to get the incredible adventures of van helsing trainer to work.
The 'activated' message comes through from the CH steam tool just once - after I launch the CH Van Helsing game launcher but the trainer itself she no work.
If I had to guess I'd say steam done circumvented the CH workaround.
try using the tool after the game launched and is running already..
I haven't tried it on van-helsing..

Cal
