If you're game stops responding after you activate and use the trainer it is because you are not using the most up to date alpha version, which would be cubeworld3.exe (or whatever) the 3.exe.

If you're using one of the first two downloads it will stop working.

So when the shop comes back up download the most up to date installer.

So the trainer will not work if you have the cubeworld launcher up and you have this message


"Please download and install the new Launcher (CubeSetup3.exe) from your 'My Games' section! The new launcher is required for downloading new updates in the future. You can install it over your existing installation."

Note: This is just in my experience.
