I'm liking it. got a mix of Roleplaying and Total War feel to it. Now to see how to pause the game so I can look at the trainer options in the total war-ish part of the game.

Its very easy to control and easy to evade on coming attacks, but the attacks follow you to far and are very fast. 1-0 are your hot key attacks. In dragon form F2 selects all your units and F3 selects the units near your dragon and Q is the attack command. I haven't had an issue with the controls at all the only issue i've had is balancing dragon form and the RTS because you can't build units while in Dragon form.

If you get it add me to your Steam my username is Aegeta.

You can actually build in dragom form there are hotkeys at the bottom right and i think there is an achievement if you do build in dragon mode.

It's exactly like Rise of Nations, except during skirmish mode where you can transform into a dragon.

The single player campaign is divided into three chapters and two of them are absolutely amazing. The third however ... Let's just say the game ends with a fizzle right now.

It's not that the last chapter is disappointing from a gamey perspective it's hard. But it lacks the extensive back story backing that the rest of the game has. At most you will get to make occasional policy decisions but ...

    Spoiler:
There are no new queen interaction, conversations or character events native to chapter 3. True if you rush through chapter 2 and don't finish everything some stuff may happen in chapter 3. But there seemed to be nothing new. Whats more i keenly felt the absence of more interaction with Corvus. Could have had increasingly cooler conversations as you got closer to his capitol. With maybe a last ditch attempt to tempt you as you near the finale. There also could have been tonnes of development with the generals and political leaders slowly finding out about Corvus. And perhaps even allowing your faction reputation to mean more than a mild bonus for you're troops and a small speech in the endgame. There was so much potential to that last chapter i cant help but feel the game is rushed out.

However this is DEFINATELEY a game style i haven't seen in a while and would like to see again. It reminds me of the original Imperium Galactica or even the original Dune. Despite it's imperfections I still had a tonne of fun playing through this and was sad when it was over.

Anyone know if it's still in development via patches ?

The overall campaign is ok, as was said the third kinda makes you feel like a balloon losing air, kinda just plops off. The gameplay is fairly good, the TBS part is very intricate and fun, but the problem is that the speed of the RTS (skirmish part) is a bit too quick and just feels like if you're fast you can still be bad and have no real strategy. The dragon isn't OP at all unless its played just right, as its fairly low on health. For sure a fun game overall, but could use some improvements. I've read that they should continue to work on balance so it might improve. This weekend (Oct. 11-14th) it's 40% off dropping it down to $24 USD.

If you enjoy the hybrid genre it's worth getting.
